It's the only way I can stabilize my scope. I thought the base was the problem, but It ended up being the rings.. With the addition of 2 more All the vibration stopped, and the screws under the rings stay tight. Kirby Allen on another site explained it better but it works for me.. Plus it works for me. Plus it is working..

Are you torquing all fastners to spec and using loctite on all recommended fastners?
