    PK-01v Red Dot, any thoughts?

I've been looking at picking up a red dot for my AK. I'd like to stick with russian optics for a russian gun (personal OCD thing) and have heard mostly decent things about the PK-01v aside from its use of AAA batteries, but wanted to see if anyone on here has some actual experience with the equipment and could give their opinion of the PK-01v? I was also potentially looking at the Venezuelan PK-A, but it's another $100/25% more.

    -thanks in advance!

Buy the PK-A Venezuelan... It's battery life is exceptional (+3,600) hours, and is mounted centered above the bore (not off set to the left as is the regular PK-A)... With it you can see the iron sights in the bottom 1/3 of the sight as It mounts exceptional low.

I have two and really like them.

Spend the extra $$ it's well worth it.

    Poke'm with a stick!

Cool, any issues with it mounting so low? contact/rattle with the dust cover or anything?

Nope fits perfectly... With about 2 to 3 MM of clearance above the top cover, and as I said before directly over the bore axis...
