    Aimpoint Pro vs Comp ML3

What are the pro's / con's between these two models?

They seem to be similar but ML3 does not have NV and also does not include a mount whereas the Pro at least provides a basic mount.

Is one model newer than the other?

    thanks!!

Tag. I just got a PRO and I'm curious myself. The comp also has a rubber cover that the PRO lacks. The instructions included in my PRO's package is for the comp though so it's a bit confusing.

Just get the one that you can find for cheaper. Talking about the difference between those two red dots in particular is kind of like comparing advil and ibuprofen.

Yeah they're basically the same. M3 does nv. You can choose dot size on the m3/ml3. PRO is newer and seems to do everything as m3 for $200 less.

I agree, giving me a headache trying to figure them out...

Here is the info from the website, hard to tell the differences and why they even came out with all these different models since they seem to be the same.

I had thought the PRO was the 'legacy' version but seems like it is the newer one.

DVOR has the Comp ML3 for $445 right now...not sure I understand why it has a higher MSRP ($600) when it appears it is an older model and slightly less features...no mount, no NV

The ml3 is much older. The pro was aimpoints response to law enforcement departments asking for a more affordable aimpoint.

You as the end user will no difference between the two. Just get the cheaper one. The pro will handle any punishment you can give it just as well as the ml3.

M series have a heavier duty housing, supposedly more geared toward military use.

I wouldnt consider a pro fragile by any means but if you MUST have the potentially most rugged optic out there well thats where the M series comes into play

Aha! It is better. Thank you. I'm considering replacing my ML2 4moa with a M3 2moa
