Here's some PM feedback from an "optics enthusiast" and shooter over at the Sniper's Hide, who purchased a Viper 6.5-20x44 riflescope. Name withheld.

Hey bro,
I recieved the Vortex scope that you sent me. You were right about it being an outstanding scope, no matter what the price. Great value in a nice scope, can't find a thing I don't like about it other than I don't have more of them. I'll save some more money and make that happen, so I'll be back in touch soon to make another purchase on another Vortex. Can't wait for the tactical model to come out because if has equal to or better glass with all of the features you mentioned for under a grand, it should put a hurt on some other brands.

Hey Scott,
Will be back to order another when I get some more cash. I am trying to sell a Nikon Monarch right now to help fund it. Seriously, optically on the Vortex, I would have to put it better than the Bushnell Elite 4200 I sold to buy this and at least as good as the Zeiss Conquest, better than my Leupold Mark 4, right with the Nightforce NXS. I even compared it with two IOR and two Zeiss Diavari that I have and it is not far behind them.

Vortex kicks ***. Brighter, better clarity and resolution than NXS at 8:30 p.m. central time, and better than IOR 4-14x50 hunting model. I am on the Vortex train, choo-choo.
