Federal Cartridge Company, ATK Accessories bought Weaver scopes a couple of years ago and I just had an opportunity to test their customer service.
I pulled a 10 year old, Weaver V16 out of the safe to put on my Ruger No 1 for some load testing and noticed that the fine crosshair on the 1/8 minute target dot was broken. I contacted Weaver and got a return number on June 1st and shipped it to them in Anoka MN. They sent me a receipt email on June 6th and said that it would be about 6 weeks for the repair. Today (July 22nd) I had a box delivered with a brand new V16 scope.
I don't know why it was cheaper to send me a new scope because all it had was a broken reticle wire but I'll take a brand new scope any time.
