    Aimpoint micro T-1 problem

Hi all, I have an Aimpoint micro T-1 that I bought second hand. It worked flawlessly until just the other day, when I took the rifle that it is mounted on out of the safe. It seems to have lost all brightness adjustment except for the last, brightest one. i.e It doesn't turn on at all until the brightness knob is turned all of the way up. I put a fresh battery in and nothing changed. It's never been dropped and only taken to the range a couple of times. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I've contacted Aimpoint by email but have not received a response.

#1, you sure it's a real aimpoint? When you look through it, does it create a strange blue cast to the image or is it clear?

#2, I'm not entirely sure whether this affects aimpoints as well, but I know with Eotech, if the nitrogen gets purged, the reticle becomes really dim.

No, it's crystal clear. I'm certain it's a real Aimpoint and it's actually extremely bright on the only functioning intensity level (level 12)

Oh, sorry misread... so you're saying at 12 it's super bright but all other levels it's not... probably something wrong with the power knob... something isn't connecting right. Time to send it in.

Put it in a box and send it back to Aimpoint.

I've called Aimpoint twice and they've been very responsive on both occasions.

It's a rare problem but it happens. That's why Aimpoint separated the structures of the brightness adjustment and the power-on switch within the knob of the Comp M4; in case the knob takes a hard impact, the optic will still be usable.

It's an Aimpoint. They'll either repair or replace your optic if it has a problem.

Hey thanks alot everyone! I really appreciate the feedback. It probably won't cost to much to have them repair it if it's just the switch. Now if I can just get them on the phone....
