Tru-Dot Night Sight - can't ship California...WTH?

Hey all,

I was in the process of ordering some Meprolight Glock Tru-Dot Night Sight for my G17 from Amazon.

Going to check out and it asked me where I wanted this shipped...so I plugged in my address and it says it cannot ship to me in California.

Contacted customer service and they say they have restriction shipping into California due to some CARB law..... WTH? Anyone experience this?

Do I have to go to a local gun store and buy it there or am I out of luck?

I've ordered plenty of night sights out of state. Just go somewhere else like opticsplanet.com or something.

Sorry for your difficulty. Amazon has pistol "night sights" confused with "night vision" scopes. Many others have felt your pain and the only answer is to patronize your local FFL or buy from any number of other California-friendly on-line sellers:

I bought Trijicon night sights for my Springfield XD9 at Ammo Bros in Cerritos. They were on sale and came with free installation...advantage = local vendor.

^^^ since they referenced "CARB", it doubt it's a mix up with night vision and more likely due to tritium (radioactive)...

nonetheless, I agree - buy from established retailers (or try a different Amazon vendor).
