        oh no you didn't

LOL ok don't beat me with a stick but..... even though Dimitri is a spokesman for PA. $200 will buy alot of other options out there. Nikon for one has some nice Buckmasters on sale. There's the Nikon P and M series scopes Also. For that amount of cabage I could suggest alot of non PA stuff that would be suitable. Not a big fan of BSA though I would agree with that in general but I' am kind of a low-mid range optics snob lol. Sorry D not trying to bash ya here.

what do you want to use that rifle for? That answer will drive what you should get for that rifle.

But all those scopes are on a second focal plane, once you have tried a FFP its pretty hard to go back to a second focal plane. At least for me, lol. Probably gonna sell a couple of my nikons and plan on getting this one to replace one of them. And no I do not know Dimirti or have anything to do with Primaryarms.

                Listen to Lew.

Scopes should be purchased for what you are shooting at, not for what you are shooting.

The 4-14 can be used for hunting, target and so on. Like some of the other guys mentioned once you go FFP you never go back..
We tested it on .308/30-06 its good to go.

Once you go mil and understand it, there is no going back to any other. All I use for coyos and varmits anymore.

The 4-14 allows you to dial in using mils so its about 3.4 less clicks. Don't take my word do the research on it.

You can set ballistic calculators to mils but here is the great thing about the mil system. Say you fire a round and notice splash about 1 mil low all you do is dial up 1 mil! Also ranging targets.
                              Example target height 1.8m x 1000/mils covering targets=range in m
Or if you want to do yards
Target in inches 70x 27.778 /mils covering target=range in yards

                              Hope this helps
