Just had to take a minute to thank a great company. I am in the middle of building up my new AR and decided on the Midwest 15" Gen2 SS freefloat handguard. I just really liked the lower weight and smaller diameter compared to others on the market. Gun was already going to be very front heavy with a White Oaks 18" Heavy stainless match barrel. The problem I was having is that the barrel nut I received with the handguard wasn't indexing properly for the gas tube. First notch under torque was way under torqued, and to get it to the next opening I was going to be way over torqued. (and yes before anyone trys to tell me how to install a barrel, I torqued to 35 lbs and released multiple times, no matter what I did I was at 20 lbs or 65+)
I sent them a message and got the canned response back saying not to expect a response in 3-4 days because they are busy. I know everyone in this market is the same way. I emailed late in the day Wednesday, got a response back and notice that they would send a new nut to me by 10AM Thursday. I didn't check my mail over the weekend because my wife was sick but checked today and it was already here. I still need to install it to see if it fixes my issue but I had to come on here and give praise where it is definitely due.
I am building another rifle for my wife and then a 3rd for friends that want to go shooting with us. All of them will be using Midwest parts (at least the handguards). So nice to have companies standing behind their products these days. Sorely missed with all the crap coming out of China now.
