    Recommend an MOA/MOA Scope

I'm looking to purchase a scope for my Tikka T3 Tactical in .308. After looking at our MOA vs. Mil sticky, I have decided to go with an MOA/MOA scope. This is my first plunge into bolt action rifles with the intention of shooting past 300 yards.

The range I plan on shooting is 100 - 800 yards with the occasional 1,000 yard day when I can make the drive to a range that offers that distance. I would like FFP as a feature of the scope. MOA/MOA reticle and turrets are also a requirement.

I'm currently using with the Primary Arms 4-14X44 Mil Mil FFP Scope with Seekins 30mm medium rings as a bridge until I figure out what I want to get.

My budget is somewhere around $2,000 as I want to do right by this rifle in regards to glass and I follow the buy once cry once philosophy. I can go higher on price as it just means I will need to save up a bit longer but I'm hoping the sweet spot is around $2,000.

I would appreciate it if you guys could also add a "why you should choose this scope" when you toss out a recommendation and include a recommendation on rings to accompany the scope.

I have two NXSes that are moa/moa. My next XLR optic will probably be a moa/moa NF BR unless I end up needing a lighter scope to make weight in a light gun class.

Any recommendation on particular model or magnification?

I want more magnification than my 8-32x gives me so, someday I hope to get a 12-42x BR. The BR offers 1/8 minute clicks instead of the NXS's 1/4 minute ones. BUT, this would be for a dedicated 1000 yard scope. For multiple distances, I'll stick with my 5.5-22x NXS with a NP-R2 reticle. I've been able to shoot from 100 yards to 1 mile with the one on my AR50. For rings, just get good ones. NF, Badger, Burris Extreme, etc.

Vortex has a FFP Razor in MOA/ MOA, Illuminated, 25 MOA per revolution, EBR-2B reticle. For around 2K.

Some nice recommendations in this thread... I would be very happy with a Vortex Razor or one of the Nightforce options.
