NEED HELP! WHICH SCOPE SHOULD I PUT ON MY R700P LTR?

Hello everyone I just got my R700p LTR out of jail today and id like to possibly get a new scope for it! I have a tasco world class scope on it but id like to go out to 800 yards eventually so ill need a better scope. I'm torn between a primary arms scope or a vortex scope. here is the primary arms scope I'm considering https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_...pa4-14xffp.htm
    10
    Keep tasco
    0%
    1
    Primary Arms
    0%
    4
    Vortex
    0%
    5

    The poll is expired.

I don't drink or Smoke. I spend my money on gunpowder and gasoline.

Buy a Vortex if you like sending your scope to get warranty repair. A fair amount of them do. My personal choice is the Bushnell Elite Tactical in 3.5-21 or the 4.5-30. Even the 6-24x is a good scope.

(she better not see this post) I just called her and thot she was with some people and texted I hear a guy's voice in the background? she called asap and pretty much called me out
          I didnt even say anything!

With a Budget of $250 I'd say PA 4-14 FFP, I read a lot of reviews on it and they have a 3 year warranty if things were to go FUBAR
          I'm saving for a SWFA 10x42 which is $299.99

              Bushnell 3200 10x40 ($199) or SWFA SS 10x42. ($299)

I believe the SWFA's are backordered right now, but definitely worth the wait.

Get the SWFA 10x and dump the Tasco.

You just got a $1000 rifle and you want to put a $250 scope on it......... If you actually want to get out to 800 yards my suggestion is to save up at least another $150 and get a decent scope. Use the Tasco until you can afford one that you won't have to replace again, and then do yourself a favor and chuck the Tasco in the trash can.

Well see, here's my reasoning...the only ranges that i live near by are 100 yards and no more...anytime I get to go to other ranges i.e. where my other family members live, the ranges only go to about 400 max so i think the primary arms or swfa will be more than sufficient By the way, just took the ltr out to the range today and cloverleaved at 100 yards with my reloads!!!! And yes, i used the tasco

my 700P in .300WM wears a SWFA SS 10x42. Great scope and very reliable. If you cant hit something at 800, you cant blame the scope at that point its down to you and the ammo...

i dont know about 800yds for 250 or even 400. but i do have a rem 700 vsf .308 i used to have a nikon buckmaster with the bdc redicle on it. i could get head shots at 300yds consitently with federal gold match 168gr. I think it ran me like $300. it was a good scope just wanted somthing cooler.
