ACOG input.

I'm going to grab a ACOG soon. I'm between the TA31F or the TA01. I will be mounting a offset RDS. I ran a eotech EXPS and G33 for awhile and while I love the set up I found I was using the magnification MOST of the time. I like the crosshairs but the TA01 doesn't have the FO. What do you guys think? This is going on my Block 1.5. I use it mostly for shooting yotes and steel plates SOME multi gun every once and awhile. Either way the optic will get a offset RMR.

The FO is really nice. Plus the tritium in the TA01 will eventually fade out. FO will always keep your reticle bright. I think they make a TA31 with similar cross hairs as the TA01 (TA31 CH)

Fiber is a big plus. I run a TA11 and TA33s for field of view and eye relief.

TA31 100%. The TA01 has such fine stadia lines that it can be very unusable in many situations. They are extremely fine and hard to see. Tritium is useless in all but near pitch black or night vision. I honestly dont even know why they continue to make it! It will make you shoot mcuh slower due to the difficulty of placing the reticle on the target.

Please do yourself a favor and get the FO model. Without it, you are missing 50% of the scope.

I like my TA01 for many reasons but you cannot go wrong with the TA31, probably your better choice. Now to decide what reticle you want in it

TA02... Once you go Acog LED, you never go back.

Well guys I just pulled the trigger on a TA02. I like the crosshair reticle and it seems like it's worth a try. This is my do it all gun from the truck to shooting yotes. I'll definitely take some pics and post a review after I get it. Thanks for the input fellas!!!

Good choice!

Its a little heavier than standard because of the battery, but the ability to change the illumination level without dealing with tape on the fiber optic is priceless. If you leave it on the medium/low setting and forget to turn off the LED, it can last almost 4 years on one AA battery. The awesome part of having the LED is that you can treat it like a standard TA31 with the LED in high brightness mode. It almost becomes a red-dot sight. At low settings, the fine lines on the sight is very clear and you can focus in on distant objects with fine precision.
