Eotech XPS2 vs EXPS2 with Sightmark Magnifier

Anyone know what the real difference between the Eotech XPS2 vs EXPS2 sights?

Only difference I see is the EXPS has larger dimensions. I have a Sightmark 3x magnifier, which would someone recommend is better, it looks on photos that the higher EXPS would fit better, but just not sure.

The Sightmark/Firefield magnifiers sit at a standardized height for red dot sights to align perfectly with the center of the sights. The EXPS sights sit 7 millimeters higher than standard, so the view through the Sightmark/Firefield magnifier will be clipped very slightly at the bottom.

Keep in mind that this was the case with the first generation of EOTech magnifiers, and few users found it to be a problem.

I think the differance between XPS and EXPS is nv capability as far as buttons go too.

The E designation is for the quick release mount that it comes with. This mount makes the E models sit 7mm higher which also make the co witness a 1/3rd co witness.

The EXPS2 and XPS2 have no Night Vision. Buttons are on the back.

The EXPS3 and XPS3 have Night Vision. Buttons are in the side.

All EXPS sights will have buttons on the side. All XPS sights will have buttons on the back. EXPS sights will have a QD lever and sit 7mm higher than the XPS sights (lower 1/3 co-witness). 2 series sights are not night vision combatible. 3 series are night vision compatible. I believe the Sightmark magnifier with the slide to side mount is at absolute cowitness, so the XPS will line up best (even tho the buttons are on the back)...
