Redfield Revolution

Has anyone had experience with the Redfield Revoluton 3x9x50 rifle scope? 4-Plex Reticle vs Accu-Range Reticle? What advantages and disadvantages did you find? Anyone put a Redfield Revolution on a Remington 700? What base and rings did you use?

My buddy has it, and I have the 4x12x52 Revenge with Accu-Range..They both are crystal clear, seem to be made very well. I bought mine after shooting/looking through his. For the price/quality, you cant beat it! I personally like looking through the accu-range reticle. Right now both scopes are mounted on ARs, his is on high mounts, I had to use X-tra high mounts...Were both very happy with the scopes!

amazing scope. i just sold mine and got the Revenge model, because I wanted the built-in range finder. the plex is clean and simple. I like the accu-range: bullet drop is always fun to have.

3x9 with accu-range here. Awesome, and clear. Had a Centerpoint, and according to others a very good one as far as centerpoints go (it looked clear, etc), but when I got the revolution, night and day. It is awesome.

It has the same specs, btw, as the Leupold Rifleman of the same power. They are made in the same factory after all.

I also have the 3-9x50 Accu-Range. I love it. The glass is clear, it picks up light at dawn very nicely, and it doesn't break the bank.

Actually, the specs are more in line with the VX-1. Both are multi-coated (Rifleman uses "fully coated"), both have 1/4 MOA adjustments (Rifleman uses friction 1/2 MOA), and if you look at the VX-1 line and the Revolution line, you'll see the same basic models.

Not knocking the Rifleman, BTW. The Vari-X II (which is what a Rifleman is) remains a good scope. But for the same price, I'll go for the Revolution every time.

I mounted up the 4-12x40 Accu-Range reitcle on my Dad's Model 70 a few months ago. My assessment pretty much mirrors all the others. It is a clean, bright, well built scope.
