Help Picking out Scope Rings

A friend gave me a CPA416AORG2 to test and if I like it I get it for a good price.

However, he lost the scope rings for it. I'm not sure which scope rings to buy. I know it's a 1'' tube but how do I determine how tall they need to be when online shopping?

What kind of rifle is it going on?

Generally, if going on an AR, you will want high rings. If on a bolt gun, you'll want mediums.

Just get this or something similar.

You'll want something that enables a little forward throw like that without having to place an individual ring on the handguard forward of the upper receiver. Unless you've got a monolithic style upper which allows you to use separate rings without alignment concerns.

If you must go with rings, then make sure you're looking at something that is about 1.5" from base to centerline of scope tube.

No problem. The eye relief on that scope is 3.9" according to manufacturer specs, so you should be able to mount it with the eyepiece about even with the rear of your receiver using one of those mounts.
