Scope Recommendations for LR-308 24"

I have little experience in choosing hunting optics product. Recently, one of friend recommended to visit Eurooptic.com the optical dealer and they have with various optical products with different types.

What is the best way to figure out which mount will get the scope closest to the bore without hitting my JP Free Float tube? I was thinking to get one of these:

But not sure if that is the best option for a PST or a Razor HD. or how close it will land me to the bore. I guess it will never be as good as a bolt gun, but I want it as close as possible anyways.

Using the specs here:

I get 2.33" diameter / 2 = 1.165" Radius, the mount is 1.570" from center of the 35mm ring to the rail. This would leave a considerable size gap of .405"?

What mounts or rings can get me closer and still have a 20moa can't?

the PST would be 2.26 / 2 = 1.13" and mount is 1.470 = .34" gap which isn't as bad but still not great right?

Interesting link, I find it interesting he lists the 3x15 nightforce as having better optics quality than the razor HD though. Several people who own both have said they would give the Razor HD a higher rating in that area, at least from my research.

He knows more than I do, but I think I want more magnification than the ST-10 he praises, even at 100yards I feel like if my M223 had over 12x magnification I could possibly shoot a better group when trying to keep my AR-15's groups to 1/2 moa.

He clearly chooses the Nightforce F1 3x15 over the razor HD though...

I wonder if the ST-10 is really as good as he suggests, seems silly to me to put a scope with less magnification on a 308 AR than I have on my AR-15.

I'm still all over the place, but now I'm back to the Bushnell DMR G2 I really like that reticle and the feel of the knobs! The Razor is close, but I don't like the reticle as much. Other purchase will get returned soon so then I will have funding again.
