Primary Arms 3X Compact Scope vs. Vortex StrikeFire?

Primary Arms 3X Compact Scope vs. Vortex StrikeFire Bright Red Dot

Has anyone directly compared the two, and can recommend one over the other based on an actual direct comparisons? I see lots of recommendations for each in their price range (which is equal, +/- $10) but it's hard to compare on paper and I don't trust any local shops enough to guide me when they don't carry both.

(fwiw, yes, I know there is a difference between a 1x red dot and a 3x scope, but...)

Funny you should mention, I'm watching his scope v. red dot vid right this moment. He was using a 3x scope (ok, I think a 1-4x, but used it at 3x) against an Aimpoint.

I also watched his Vortex Strikefire review, and he gave it "most" of the Aimpoint's performance at 1/3 the price...

In our testing we found that Strike fire and other red dots are slightly faster or easier to track your target then 3x up close but further out meaning medium range at 200 yards it became much faster then a red dot and at 300-600 the BDC takes over. So to answer your question SF is faster , 3X is fast but more accurate further out.

Our new line of scopes with ACSS reticule are a huge leap forward in been able to shoot up close and effectively engage out to 800 yards!!
