I would stick with Iron sights or look at the Vortex Strikefire red dot. Magnification is not really needed at 100yds. Specially an NC-Star.

Junk. If short on funds buy a Redfield.

i don't know which scope you're talking about, but i spent $149.99 on this one http://www.amazon.com/NcStar-Tactica...s=ncstar+scope

and i have to say it's terrible.

The adjustment knobs lose their zero very easily, the lighting reticle broke within the first month, the first time i took it out the pin that prevents it from sliding rearward on the rail fell out, the crosshairs drift between shots (my rifle was making 4 inch groups, then when i swapped to a vortex viper the groups became 1.25")

You get what you pay for. I say save up and buy once, cry once.

the redfield scope was my next option and I was looking at the reviews and it said they are a better scope for what I want it to do.

NC Star are toys used on wall hangers, not real firearms. When you put them on firearms that are actually shot, they break. I don't think they can last longer then a few hundred rounds. You'd be better off buying the cheap BB gun scopes at Walmart. They are like $19.99. Buy 7,... that's 7 scopes for about $150 and I bet they last a few hundred rounds each... so you can get the same effect x7 times.

NC Star's are great on airsoft guns.

The Bushnell banner is decent for the price or the Trophy red dots. I would stay away from anything Nstar. Just alot more things out there that are around the same price no need to pay more for less. Grats on the redfield be sure to give us pics and a review when you get it please :<).

NcStar is junk that can often be found on toys used by airsoft commandos while playing war.

If you are planning on shooting your rifle a fair bit, then why not look at Weaver? The Weaver Classic K 4x38 is available on MidwayUSA for $149.99 (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/174...-reticle-matte). I have owned several of those scopes over the years and cannot speak highly enough about that particular scope. It's reliable, tough as nails, and it's affordable. --1911ShooterPhil
