    Must Watch AR scope review

This would make a great entry level optic sticky. A really good video that I stole from SoCalXD. It's kind of long but it goes over the considerations you need to think of for the optic you want and a few really great reviews.

I'm not sure if I have embedded this correctly, so here is the link.

you need to find the link to the video without a search inside of the users host..

I clicked your link, copied the title "best ar15 scope". then used that in a new youtube search, and then clicked the results video for nutfancy. then copied the link for that. pasted everything after the = inside of youtube commands.

just like a typical nutfancy vid... its nearly an hour long with about 30 minutes of actual good info...the rest is just him loving to hear himself talk.

I tend to agree with the video. For 99.9% of us a sub $500 scope is all we need. I have rifles with $30 Simmons and a 50BMG with a $2000 Nightforce on it. I'm not going to lie the glass on the Nightforce is beyond beautiful but its a requirement for a 50 built to shoot 1 mile. 99.9% of people don't need that kind of glass on a AR they can't take take past 600 yards. Its a waste of money IMO unless you are very rich and can afford the best. If not put that extra money toward ammo, mags, and other gear. There is no scope under $500 that can't fit your requirement.

Agreed, for the most part. Anyone who is runing a long range rig, especially for tactical use, can really make good use of a FFP and a decent mil/mil recticle. With one exception, those are all over $700. Of course a solid arguement could also be made that FFP is not truely nessisary for the extra $200+, at least for a civilian personal defense rifle... but, some people are willing to forgo lattes and cigars for a year in order to fund US Optics. Viva Choices!

FFP is nice, but not at the cost of other things.
