Scout rifle scope

I have an SKS that I'm thinking of making a scout rifle out of, I'm thinking of putting a Tapco 6 position telescoping stock and mounting a scope forword of the receiver.

I've been hearing the term long eye relief scope but don't know the difference between a long eye relief scope and any other scope. Hopefully someone else does and can explain it to me.

Also if someone might have a recommendation for a specific long eye releif scope in the $100 range.

If it is a play rifle, maybe a primary arms micro dot

You might also trigger 922r with an SKS if you add a pistol grip and collapsible stock.

Handgun scopes have LER (long eye relief) and are commonly used as "scout scopes".
Midwayusa.com- Pistol Scopes If you read the reviews you'll find many buyers are using them for scout rifles.

There are scopes specifically designed for scout set-ups, but I don't think there are very many quality options in the $100 range.
