i dont even no there are so many of them i have a 3x9x40 scope on it right now , but for close range shooting it sucks, it would be great to get a eotech thats good for 50yard 25 yard shooting.

I used one the other day on some dudes next to me at the range i didnt pay attention to what style eotech but it was perfect , both eyes open and right on target at 50yards.

AR15.com or Here. Used price on a EOtech is like $350. They go all the way to $2000. Check the battery type on the model you are looking at and make sure its the type you can easily get. They are all neasrly the same.

if you plan on dropping $2000.00 on Night Vision gear, get an EOTech with that capacity..if not dont worry about it.

All 512s with a Rev-F or higher have had a software update that stops the battery from draining while off.

They went to transverse battery mounting (XP series) due to the battery springs in long axial battery mounting developing a weakness to recoil. When the rifle was fired the batteries actually jumped off the spring breaking electrical contact and turning the unit off. There is a kit they sell which fixes this problem by replacing the weakened springs with stronger ones.

          Good luck

I was going to say Optics Planet, but they don't seem to be in stock.

If you ever intend to put a magnifier behind the Eotech, you'll want one with the illumination controls on the side rather than on the back.

The short model uses a cr123 battery mounted laterally and the longer front end model uses 2 aa batteries.

Night vision compatibility runs you about $100.00 extra. if you don't think you'll ever buy night vision, pass on that option.
