    eye relief

this might be hard to explain..but how do u know if u have the perfect eye relief? today while i was zeroing my scope..i was having trouble getting a consistent eyer relief.. i had to keep adjusting myself. i kept getting a tunnel or dark ring around the lens. if that makes any sense.. sumtimes i couldnt even see out of the scope..was just black.. or i get a like a shadow n sumtimes would get blurry as if there was something blocking my view and was out of focus..was annoying and lil frustrating..

my buddy has a cheap bushell from wal-mart..think he paid bought $40 for his..n when u look through his scope..its clear. and consistent. and u dont get that dark tunnel look..

can anybody explain what the problem could be and how i can fix it..

    thanks

You need to re-adjust your scope. To get it to work you need to Close your eyes, get comfortable behind your rifle. Get a good cheek weld. Open your eyes. If you dont have a good sight picture adjust the scope accordingly. You might need to raise your cheek piece or stock pack up or push the scope forward or move it back. Some times you might need to adjust your cheek piece left or right if it allows.

i get a good eye relief when i have the scope at 6x magnification. but when i zoom in to a higher magnification 24x.. i dont get the same eye relief.. i have to bring my eye in closer to get a better sight..but i still get that ring around the lens. is this normal?
i try adjusting myself to get the best sight while on the highest magnification 24x but its not as good as when its set to the lowest magnification 6x.

does it matter at what magnification i set the eye relief on?
