spotting scope

I'm looking to get a spotting scope. For right now, it will be mainly used at 100 yards. I would like to future proof myself for up to 1000 yards. I'd prefer something that I can set to my side and look into it with out having to stand up and look down into it. Does that make sense?

Any recommendations?

The Kowa spotting scopes are excellent. When you add one of their Long Eye Relief eyepieces it makes it very easy to tilt your head from rifle and get a clear field of view without dismounting the rifle.
