    10/22 Takedown scope

suggestions for decent inexpensive glass for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle.. not too big that its a problem storing in the takedown case...general plinking-packing in mountains...fixed power or variable??... thanks for input

I bought a Simmons 3-9x32 when I got mine. Once I mounted it, it was waaay too big IMO. I ended up replacing it with a small holo dot sight (no magnification). Works great.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

What kind of mount are you using there?

The one the ruger comes with. I have since remounted it as I didn't have it quite flush, it moved the scope forward a tad but I just loosened the rings and pulled it back some. Still fits in the bag great.

Does the quick disconnect mount come with the scope or is that a separate purchase??

                        I have this:

Great scope for the price... don't think you can get any better. And it's perfect for my needs... and it seems like it would be for yours.
