vortex strikefire low mount question

just got a strikefire with high mount(wanted low mount but good price from another calgunner) and mounted it on my ak with the tws gen 2 rail with leaf sight. i like how theres a hole in the mount so i can see the irons but dont like the lower jaw weld when looking through the optic. does anyone know if the low mount will at least give a lower 3rd cowitness? ive looked on other forums and alot of people ask this same question but for some reason there is never an answer. thanks

No idea but a very good question. My AR is like that kinda I don't have a see thru mount but even with a 1" pepr mount for my Nikon I have to mount my face really low on the stock to get a good sight picture same with the BUS.

No idea on the TWS rail you have but with an Ultimak and low rings you can use iron sights through the strikefire. So if you can find someone with an Ultimak to compare it may give you a better idea if it will work or not.
