I just received my SH-IOR today, 2nd batch obviously. I read the breakage reports over at SH but decided to take the chance as I really liked the features of the scope over my #2 choice, another 4.5-14 x 50 M1 Leupold Mark 4.

Glass & reticle are extremely clear, reticle is a very nice and practical pattern, knobs have excellent tactile feedback. Keeping my fingers crossed it holds together, it's a really nice piece.

Probably going to test it Sunday morning, it's sitting on top of my new Ted Brown built LRB M25. Certainly not the most punishing ride out there in terms of recoil but being semi auto it will get some forward & reverse shock. We'll see how it does!

    Thanks again Scott.

That is a great looking rig. I know all about Ted Brown's rep for building an accurate rifle. Have fun at the range and good shooting. Thanks for the order.

I put 80 rounds through it today with zero issues. Knobs are very repeatable.

After using it I am very impressed with the reticle; lots of different sized stadia for ranging and I really like the dot in the center.

I may even have to change the Leupold 4.5-14 Mark 4 off my .308 bolt gun and get another one of these...

That's great to hear! Yeah, the guys at the Hide did a great job with that reticle.

We would love to help you out with the other scope.... ;+)

Finally got mine mounted and out to the range. It's only a 6.5 Grendel so its not taking a beating at all with the muzzle brake on there. But it did seem to perform decently from the limited number of rounds I put down range so far. I have yet to do any sort of tracking tests with it, it was blowing 20-30 mph across so with my wild shooting and that I never would have known the results one way or the other. It's in the Seekings rings on a GG&G riser right now. They claim 1/2 MOA repeatability, and while I have not tested that claim yet I'm not terribly impressed with it so far. It only has a single round lug which has quite a bit of room in the cross slots on the upper. While it clamps pretty tight I think thats the week point in the set up. For $150+ I wish they would have sprung for a machined crossbar. I'm going to be getting a LaRue riser as well at some point and I'll see if it makes much difference to me.

Thanks for the update. The GG&G mount was my second choice mount behind the Larue, but ahead of ARMS. This type of feedback is invaluable and I'll keep it filed.

The scope and rings should not be the source of any consistency issues.

              Take care,
