To each his own. I might put one on a ar22 but I'd never rock it on a rifle that my life might depend on. Same for eotech, batteries fail and so does circuitry. Like I said, to each his own. I trust my trijicon stuff.. Expensive but not overpriced.

You get what you pay for and if you pay a lot less, you get a lot less, pretty much the end of the story here.

BTW, one more very important thing to consider. When you buy real Trijicon gear, you are not only buying quality USA made gear and keeping your money from going overseas to a totalitarian government but you are also supporting a company that goes out of it's way to support those that go into harms way for our sorry azzes!

Who makes a decent ACOG-style optic for less, that's reliable? I want to use it on my fixed carry handle AR for possible 3-gun, as well as an all purpose shooter. I just sold my JP rifle and want to still be able to 3-gun...for less money! Something in the 3-5 power range...

Acogs are nice until you get some wind and ranging only works if the guy is standing square at you. That never happens and there is always wind. The PA5x takes all that into consideration

I run the TA-01 ACOG variant and it covers windage very well with it's 10mph windage offset lines.

Again, the ACOG wins IMHO

Acogs are great no doubt. But the PA line of prism scope are far from cheap and unreliable. The prototype 5x is getting hits at 700-800 yards! We are able to range targets with in 20 yards.
We are known for mid level optics and best bang for the buck.

I owned a TA01nsn and sold it because the eye relief sucked. I now own an Acog TA11 with a green horse shoe reticule. It's unbelievable. I absolutely love it!
But before I could afford these bad boys, I owned an Acog TA01 knock off that I got from a chinese company online.
It was in no way an Acog. However, It held zero, and got me on target at 100 yds, and it was $80.
Better than some of the other crap I've owned over the years, and it did look cool.

PA products are not the cheap made Acog knock offs. We all shoot from the CEO down. No knock off can shoot like this!!

I am able to hit a 18x28" target at 700 yards 4-5 to 5-5 unless I read the wind wrong or just pull one here and there.

You havent really defined ACOG style optic. If you are looking for a magnified optic build to sit on top of a fixed carry handle I would look into the Hakko / Colt scopes of the 1990s and 2000 era. You can still find them around. The Hakkos are very nice glass. either 4x21 or 3x20 as I remember..or maybe the other way around...

Yeah, I was just asking to see if the shape was what he was looking for. Blue Rings have ranging and BDC also. They are also made to attach to the carry handle, which is what I think he wants... not to have to buy a rail to attach to the CH, then Rings to mount the scope, and then the scope.
