    Burris XTR 10x50

I recently sold my Nightforce 12x42x56 scope because I wasnt using it much and I wanted the money to buy some reloading equipment. I needed another scope for my bolt gun so I decided on a Burris XTR 10x50. I wanted a fixed power this time. I didnt like the hassle of worrying about the magnification being in the right place for ranging things and I like the consistency of a fixed power. So I took the Burris to the range today and I must say I am very pleased. The glass is extremely clear. It feels very rugged. The clicks are positive and it returned to zero perfectly. If anyone is in the market for a good tactical scope then I highly recommend the Burris. Another thing that i had to have was a no BS warranty and the Burris has it. If something goes wrong whether you are the original owner or not it is covered forever. It costs less than half of the cost of a nightforce or a leupold but the quality is still excellent. Just thought I would share.

I got it from Midway for $642. I think there were a few places that were a little cheaper but I gad a gift certificate for Midway so thats why I got it there. Its a great scope though. Well worth the money. I got the old model, which is exactly the some thing as the new model but the new model comes with flip up caps instead of bikini style caps.

Congrats on your Burris. I will say, with my experience as a dealer, that your experience with the older model XTR is in the minority. However, every product is an individual.

When we become a registered vendor, the member price for that scope would be $619 shipped. We have two in stock (new model) at this time.

Just curious, what issues are people having with the scope? I read a lot of reviews and i didnt find any substantial negative reviews.

Had, , as I haven't sold one in awhile. You name it. Side focus that didn't work. Scope didn't track well. Wouldn't hold zero. Poor glass. Just overall poor build quality. These things are made by Hakko, I beleive. Now, Burris looks to China for a lot of their scopes.

Interesting, thanks for the quick reply. The glass on mine is extremely clear so I did ok there. I have yet to put it through tests of extreme elevation and windage changes yet so I cant for sure say the tracking is perfect but hopefully this weekend I can test that and report back. Maybe they have tightened up their QC recently or something. Alot of people are biased based on how much they spend on a scope and automatically say it is great because it cost a fortune but I try not to do that. Ill put it through its paces and try to find any flaws and Ill report back about it. Ill look forward to your shot show report. Thanks.
