    Sig 556 optics?

I'm starting to look for something to put on the Sig. Would like to cover 0-150meters or so.
With the Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T, how hard is to pick up the red dot quickly to use for up close? Having not handled one at all I wasn't sure.
    Any other suggestions?

A SIG556 is really no different than an AR, so I'm uncertain as to why you'd phrase the question as such, unless there's something I'm missing...

My experience with that optic, and it seems to be the consensus... it's not worth the money. There are better choices for less.

0-150meters is really close range. A variable optic like that is really designed for target determination and flexibility from 0-400yds. Are you trying to punch paper or shoot multiple targets?

Paper punching - I'd go with something like the 2.5-8MR/T or a cheap, lightweight 3-9.

Zak Smith put up an article that pretty much chimes with what my suggestions would be. If you want fast and multiple target engagement at those distances, nothing beats an EOTech.

To push things further, but the same kind of shooting, go with the ACOG.

Yeah, some people like the CQ/T, but due to poor availability in recent months, the price has gone way up. They're hard to find for under $600 at all - many folks are asking $700 for them NIB - and you can do better for the money.

I have one, bought cheap on ebay, but haven't had the time to even mount it up, let alone take it out for a spin. I should probably sell it for a tidy profit...
