Need Base & Rings Help

I have a Remington 700 sps tactical in 308 and recently purchased an swfa ss hd scope for it. I was looking for suggestions on a quality base and rings setup. The local shop here only has Badger and they are extremely expensive.

Anyone running a similar setup and have some suggestions? Not looking to go cheap but the Badger setup would hit the wallet a little to hard.

You can't go wrong with Badger. I have Badgers scope bases on all of my bolt action rifles. I also have a set scope there rings and others.

Here is some on Amazon. Nightforce is quality. EGW bases are also there more modestly priced. Not quite the quality of Badger or Nightforce. http://www.amazon.com/NightForce-Rem...gw+20+moa+base Make sure to get the short action size for a 308. The link is for a long action.

The above ones or Leupold. My Leupold/Redfield units have been rock solid for many years.

Broke down and bought Badger base and rings.. Ouch..
