I posted an issue with Optics Planet regarding my attempt to purchase an Armasight Gen2 Sirius Monocle on the "optics thread" section.

As a vendor here on CalGuns, can you help our membership understand why Optics Planet will not sell night vision Monocles to California residents? California law does permit such sales (specifically a non-magnified Gen2 night vision monocle).

When I spoke on the phone with OP customer service, I didn't get the sense that they actually knew why and I was hoping you might be able to clear it all up for us.

This was a mistake in our system that is being corrected. I apologize to ceedubG and anyone else that was inconvenienced by this.

As stated above night vision monoculars should be GTG in California.

Thank you very much for helping me with this issue, I appreciate it. I was contacted very quickly by Optics Planet service department and they fixed the misunderstanding immediately, as well as throwing in a little something for the confusion.

They reiterated that night vision monoculars are legal and they do sell them to all of us cal-gunners.

I have always liked purchasing from OP in the past. Between great prices and quick shipping, Optics Planet was always my first place to search for an item.

And after the way Tim G. & Co. have handled my issue today, I am even more of a fan of Optics Planet.
