I'd have to say the scope and rings are probably not that great. Plus I'm assuming you will have to pay 8-10 bucks shipping on top of the 55.88. I think you can do better.

I have a Bushnell 4x that had those rings. They are crap! I actually picked up a Leupold set that was on clearance at Wally world for 15.00 and they were well worth it. Buy the scope but plan on new rings.

I guess it depends on what you are going to put it on.

I am partial to Mueller scopes. There are many nice, relatively inexpensive scopes around. Just remember you almost always get what you pay for.

I'll try to find you a couple links later, after dinner.

I got a Tasco (Owned by Bushnell) scope that looks just like that one with the same rings for my wife's Marlin 60 (Xmas presents.) The rings were worse than Crap! One had a bad mounting screw, and the scope wouldn't stay put, even on a .22. It ended up messing up the receiver goove (not too bad to use, just looks like hell.) I called the Tasco customer service line and they sent me a set of Bushnell .22 rings that do not have those mickey mouse mouting screws. They were like regular rings, only sized for .22 receiver grooves. Those worked well.

The scope is nothing much to bother with either - even as Tasco scopes go. I would say try to find something that has an Adjustable Objective.

If you end up with the Bushnell or Tasco, call them and tell them the rings are no good and hope they send you the better ones.

If these are for a grooved .22 receiver (also known as tip-off rings), there are several good inexpensive ones out there.

Burris Zee rings are very good quality, not too expensive, and come in a variety of styles, including Weaver, .22 tip-off, and Ruger.

I've also had good luck with the stamped steel Weaver brand rings you can get at Walmart and maybe Big 5.

A lot of people like Millett Angle-Loc rings, and while they're very good for the money, I don't like the windage adjustment capability, as it makes return to zero harder, since both sides of the clamp are adjustable. I ended up loc-titing one side of mine so they wouldn't move when they're off.

I'd rank them as Burris, Millett, Weaver, in terms of quality.
