    Vortex Strikefire vs. SPARC?

I've got a SPARC right now on an AR carbine build and am really pleased with it. Holds zero perfectly even when I remove/attach it (its on an ARMS mount). Doing another build - this time a pistol -and was going to stick with what works but can't help but think about tinkering.

Anyone have experience with the Strikefire vs. the SPARC? Thoughts on comparing the two against one another? I could put the SPARC I have on my pistol and the Strikefire on my carbine. But if its a dog I'll stay away from it.

I have a SPARC and two Strikefires... like 'em both... both hold zero, and have had no problems.

You will be able to mount the SPARC lower (I've moved mine from an AK to a shotgun)... but I like the Strikefire's wider optical (and green dot) - also takes better to the fts magnifiers I use.

The SPARC is of course much more compact so the idea of using it on a pistol might work out...

I've heard other say the SPARC is more robust - but I haven't had the Strikefire fail so it's hard to comment on that... for small, compact, light and stout, the SPARC is a good choice... for quick sight acquisition and use of flip to side magnifiers, I prefer the Strikefire.
