    iron sights question.

So went out shooting with father, cousin and cousin's father on Christmas day. I have MBUS rear sight and a FSB front sight. I turned off the eotech for the first time and just shot with irons. I had to turn the rear sight about 80% of the way to the left to hit the target at about 25-30 yards. We were shooting downhill into a defile up in the mountains on my cousins private property so all safe.

Anyways I was curious. This doesn't seem right. Is there a possible problem? Is it just the MBUS? Should I try for a better BUS?

My Mbus is right about in the middle maybe a turn one way or another. Sounds kind of strange. Maybe someone with more experiance will add some thoughts.

on my sig 556 i used to run a mbus on the rear and if my front sight was centered, the mbus ended up being cranked all the way over to one side.

the rails on my 556 were a bit crooked.

i have since moved the mbus onto my flattop AR and its "mostly" centered but still slightly off to one side.

I added some pics. It all looks straight and in line to me.

The sight actually looks canted to the left to me but I have been drinking lol. I don't think that would make sense either would be canted the other way yes? The explanation by Nothing makes sense too.

I just dialed in my magpul gen2 buis yesterday at the range. Was shooting @ 50yds, and had the dial my rear sight pretty far over to the right. But it's rite on target so I'm not worried about it. Those adjustments are there for a reason rite?

I had a mbus Gen 2 and had the same issue when I zeroed at 50 yards. Didn't really care since it zeroed.

I thought I read somewhere on arfcom that someone was talking about this as well.. Don't remember at this time though
