Can I have both flip up iron sites and a scope on my ar?

I would like both a scope and iron sites for backup, but the regular sites would be in the way of the scope, correct? Would flip ups solve this problem?

Nope, fix a2 front site doesn't get in the way and it fades away more you zoom.

What about the rear site? What should I use?

a flip up something, preferably something of very high quality. You should be more focused on the rings/mounts for your scope. You'll probably want some very high quality quick detach rings so when/if you have to use your BUIS set you'll be able to just pull the scope right off. The scope will only be in the way of the rear sight so you'll need to remove it to use the BUIS set.

Pepr is a decent mount for the money Larue if you want a levar QD. I use magpul bus I really don't see spending $200 on buis myself since their back ups lol.

offset sights are a good option as well.

100% awesome idea. I love the 45 degree set of irons like the ones below. Their cheap knock offs though the real ones are a left arm. Very good idea though you see them alot on 3gun rigs.

Those offset sights are the bees knees but the real one will cost ya like $200+. Those were spun off of people using 45 degree mounts and putting BUIS or Magpul BUS on them I think.
