Mini 14 long eye relief scope help

I have a Mini 14 that has an Ultimak rail on it. I'm trying to set it up with a nice 1-4 power scope. It has to be long eye relief since my eye will be about 6-10 inches away from the lens (depending on where I mount it). I used to be into the gun world, but have been out for some years. So I need some help from the people who know more than I. I've been looking on the internet for a few hours now and have found some good scopes for under $250 (my budget). However none are long eye relief, they all say 3-5 inches for the relief. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Just purchase a scope made for a handgun. They are designed for long eye relief. I purchased one for my Mini and it works great.

I've had an Eotech and also a Tasco red dot on my Mini with an Ultimak rail. Liked them both. Currently usuing a Trijicon RMR, but that's not $200. All are better (for me) than the side mounted B-Square used previously...

My benchmark is hitting a softball sized target free hand at 100 yards.

You could probably find a Nikon/Burris/Refield long eye relief scope for about $200.

Thanks guys. The way I figure it the Mini is not a long range rifle as the AR15 is. Thats why I have a scope mounted on the AR. I figure the Mini is a better red dot gun. I actually found the solution I was looking for. By changing out my rear sight to a different one, I can now see better thru the red dot. So I have it set up with a red dot and am going to leave it like that. Just needs a sling and flashlight. I'm now on the hunt for a good 3-9 scope for my AR with about the same price range.

                leopold Scout Scope...

the custom shop makes it in 1-4x

                the 2x is plenty...
I had a 4x pistol scope on my ultimak AK 5.45
that dude got hot...really hot...esp. when bump firing...

can't go wrong on a leopold....

wife used one this year to kill her deer in colorado...
25.5 in 3x3 buck at a lasered 317 yds... one shot from her 7-08 savage scout rifle... killed it - first shot prone...I'm thinking a 2x is just fine for a mini which will only shoot so well at 100 and the Ultimak, while pretty solid, isn't the receiver....but a way better call for the mini...
