So i recently purchased a Howa 1500 with the 20" heavy flueted barrel with the Nikko sterling Targetmaster scope package.
The package comes with a rail to mount to the gun and rings to mount the scope to the rail. (sorry if this is obvious just trying to give all important info)
Every thing works fine and is great quality, the problem im having is i feel i must strain my neck forward to get a decent sight picture (less scope shadow). I moved the scope on the rail about as far back as i am comfortable with. I still have maybe one or two stops on the rail i can move it back and i already have the scope pushed as far back in the rings as it can go.
I am almost positive i am doing something wrong. I can still get decent accuracy out of the rifle for my skill level but i feel if i dont need to strain i can shoot better.
thoughts critisism laughs are all appretiated.
