    Nikon M-308 dial "play"

Finally received my backordered Nikon M-308 scope. Haven't taken it out yet, but I did discover the dials have some "play". The dials have a bit of movement even when there is no "click". It's my first scope, so I don't know if this is common. Does anyone else have this scope? Does it do the same thing?

    Thanks,

    scope

I don't have that scope but I am pretty sure there shouldn't be any play in the turrets. Make sure the turret's are pushed down for solid lock up. They'll lift up so that after you zero at 100 yards you can set to zero or 100 yards, depending on which scope you have, BDC or Rapid Action Turret.

Let me know if this helps?

My buddies that have them love the clear glass for long range shooting.

I have M233 scope and there's no play int he turrets unless they are not locked down.
