    EOTech 511.A65 vs. Trijicon Reflex?

Hey guys, I've been wondering about which would be better for my future GSG-5 and the G36 if they make one.

I've heard nothing but good about both company's sight, with the only complaint of the reflex is that with direct sunlight, the sight sees to be washed out.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I've used both. For range guns like you listed, hands down, EOTech.

you mean range as in long range, or shooting range guns?

I also want to use my GSG for rabbits/varmints.

Same here, most people prefer the EOtech..I've heard some people not really liking the triangle sight on the Trijicon and that it does wash out in direct sunlight for some.

        I will vote for a donkey-sex maniac if he's pro-gun.

The only advantage of the Reflex is that it requires no batteries. That is to say, if I were on an extended operation, I would prefer it over the EOTech. Or I'd pick an Aimpoint.

EOTech is far better of a quick point in close and for accuracy out to about 200yds. Dot sights are all about speed.

If you have access to batteries, get the EOTech.

I forgot to add I'd buy the 512 before the 511. AA's have a much longer life, are cheaper and available everywhere.

I'm thinking about getting a 551 because I will eventually get a OLL and since I want a rear fold down sight, the smaller size is necessary, plus the smaller sze will also look better on a GSG-5 and the G36 if they make one.

Why is the smaller size necessary? It can sit forward of the rear sight. You can fit an EOTech + magnifier + folding sight on a standard flat-top.

This might be an option for you, too:

Explore optics including red dots, LPVOs, and magnified scopes all engineered for fast target acquisition, clarity, and precision at variety of ranges.
