Can I put a CDS on any leupold scope?

Hi guys,

I have a GREAT Leupold scope that happens to be an older model. Can I call Leupold and have them cut me a CDS? Will it screw over the existing scope cover threads and engage the coin slot?

Or does the scope have to be a new model built from the ground up to accept the CDS dials?
