Scope options for .270 Winchester model 70

Just bought a new gun and I'm trying to see what my best options are from those who have used/owned one.

All depends on how much you want to spend..I have a 270 WSM Model 70 with Leupold Mark 4 LR, 4.5-14x40, Leupold base and rings. Deadly combination.. Scope is alittle pricey, but worth it. Lifetime warranty, Made in USA, cant beat it!

These are great and best bang for the buck do the research on them.

Quality rifle scopes including LPVO 1-6x, 1-8x variable power, and long-range optics. Primary Arms ACSS reticles, Vortex, Leupold, and more brands.

Tons of options out there. What is your budget? What magnification range are you thinking you need?

Take a look at the Redfield Revolution, they are cheaper than Leupold but made in the same factory in Oregon. Ive got one on a model 70 and it works great.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

The Redfield if tight on money. A Leupold 3X9X40 or 3.5X10X40 would be what I would use and have on a dozen or more rifles. Just got a bobcat with a Leupold Varri X-II 3X9X40 on a Tikka 6.5X55 this week. Could not get a shot at 3 different bears.

if it's mostly for hunting- bigger manification is better-- just don't get the high target turrets--if you carry the rifle on your back - they'll stick you. leupold are great scopes

Leupold...I've had Nikon and Bushnell and will return back to Leupold each time.

You will never go wrong with Leupold.
