    Guesstimate how many MOA

My sister sent me this pics to brag her new Aug 16" with EOtech and magnifier. She said this was first photo was at 100 yards sitting with just her hand (no block/sandbag), elbow resting on the bench. I do know that she's quite accurate with pistol but did not expect this result from a rifle she fired the first time.

Can anyone make an estimate how many MOA this is? If she can do this off hand, should I still advice her to get a rifle rest just so she can really find out how many MOA her new rifle is capable of?

And this one at 50 yards,

We need to know the diameter of the orand circle or the white circles. An aug is .223, and being a shoot and see they appear bigger. So, I'm going to guestimate the orange dot is 1". If so, that group is aprox. 1.75 moa.

      1.5 - 1.75 MOA.

Not bad at all no matter how steady she is most ball ammo will have at least a 1 MOA error.

So if she were to place the rifle on a rest, is the Aug3 capable of sub or MOA shots? she said they were using 62 gr xm855.

Sorry, hard to believe someone shot 1.5" groups with a red dot from 100 yards with no support except an elbow on a bench.

You need to call BS on her.

Most people i've EVER met or watched can't shoot a clean 1.5" group with a scope on sandbags.

So either she should be in the olympics, or she's confused what 100 yards is...

I still recall how proud my wife was of how far the target she shot was... she was like "Wow... it's like at least 200 yards right?" It broke my heart to tell her we were shooting at the 50 yard line.

                You're so right.

                I feel bad now.

I should of told my wife she was shooting at 400 yards, not 50... i bet it would have made her day.
