Decent red dot for around $100?

Never owned a red dot and am looking for one to play with at the range. If I like it, I'll look into getting a better one, if I don't like it, no big loss. Plan to mount it on top of a 5.45x39, so it won't be taking too much punishment. I searched this forum quite a bit, but it took a long time to sift through, and find relevant threads. The one's I did find were a bit dated, so I am looking for current suggestions. I know Primary Arms are considered best bang for the buck, but these are backordered as I am sure you all know. Is there another brand or model that comes close to Primary Arms in price and quality? Thanks gun buddies.

      Bushnell TRS-25. Usually around $80-$90.

+1 on the Bushnell TRS-25. It's survived atop my Mossberg 500 with over 400 rounds of 12ga but I recently moved it to my plinker AR. Note that it has an integral mount and if you're mounting it to a flattop AR you're going to need a riser mount. Primary Arms has a nice combo deal -- just pick the riser for your co-witness preference: https://www.primaryarms.com/Bushnell...03-leapers.htm

Another one for the TRS 25. I've used it on a 12 ga. 870 and it took the abuse. Have them instock and ready to ship as well:

Ah thanks guys...I was looking at a Bushnell, but it was the Trophy Buck I think. I like the looks of the TR25, and I think I might give it a go. Thanks again guys.

+1 for the TRS-25. I had one on my Winchester 94 (.357) and one is currently mounted on a 7.62x39. The one on the AK is working well.

Currently on Sale at Cabelas: for $80

I sold the Winchester earlier this year and mounted a FastFire 3 on the Marlin 1894c that replaced it. The TRS-25 now resides on my son's Crickett

I like the TRS-25, I have 2 of them, but I also have a vortex strikefire which is great. It's typically $170+ but right now, PSA (palmetto) has a sale for $130. It's bigger and more expensive but I haven't heard anybody complain about them.
