Recently bought a used rifle that was one of those manufacturers combos. The scope was a Burris low end 3x9 set on a .223 bolt gun. I took it off and put a Nikon Coyote Special BDC on the gun and thought I'd throw the Burris on one of my AR's (currently I only shoot iron sights on my ARs). Tried zeroing it this morning and the reticle just wouldn't zero - it kept wanting to shoot right - shot it maybe a total of 35 rounds and then the relief just went blurry. I threw it in the trash.
What kind of added value is a scope that falls apart after 35 rounds? I'll never buy one of these combos (well I would, used).
