    Question on TA11E (.308) Reticle

    Hey guys,

Just picked up a TA11E for my .308 and I am trying to find information on the reticle. I am specifically trying to figure out why the bottom corners of the chevron are cut off from illumination? My TA31F has the illumination go all the way into the corners. As I understand it, the bottom of the chevron from left tip to right tip is supposed to be 19" at 100 yards (shoulder width).....this is used for ranging. Should I be ranging using the black tips or the illuminated tips at 100 yards? It seems as though the illuminated tips are the same distance apart as the 400 yard hash mark. I cant figure it out and the Trijicon website doesnt seem to give any insight.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best thing to do is just call Trijicon if you have any questions, they cleared up some misconceptions about my TA31F when I got it.

I am going to ASSUME it’s out outside of the black tips... for 300m.

Bingo! I just looked it up in my manual, thanks.

I guess my question still remains though: Why is the entire chevron not illuminated red? And unlike the TA31F, only the tip of the first vertical line down to the 400 meter hash mark is illuminated, not the entire line. Any idea as to the reason for this? I just want to figure this reticle out and it doesnt have the .308 DBC chevron listed reticle in my manual.

        Thanks.

Illumination is set for 100-300 where fast acquisition matters anything beyond that you have to prone out.
          get some rounds down range.

Maybe i'm not being clear about what I mean. Here are the two reticles: Why are the spots that the arrows are pointing to black? There's got to be a reason.....just doesnt make sense why they're not red. I mean, it's not a problem, I'd just like to know why.

It's most likely the projector or the illumination device they are trying to control it to only highlight the tip so it's diameter is smaller the the chevron symbol but you should call them
