ND-3 Long Distance Laser Designator / Flashlight

Has anyone used a ND-3 Long Distance Laser Designator / Flashlight or other brand on an AR / AK? Pros /cons / Opinons?
Was watching a SAR exersise the other night and thought this might be of use on my hog AK (as well as SHTF) instead of a Surefire light.

The one thing I got from watching the exersise was that I could see what was being illuminated, the guy using the laser was not very easy to see (I was about 50 meters away and at an angle from him). So will not give away your location as easily as a normal flashlight.

    Thanks.

These are nice products and is amazing when you use them in person. First time I took one out I was shining it on a cell tower pole almost 550 yards away at night, saw it clear without a scope, and behind the scope the dot wasnt overly enlarged on the target and I could identify what parts of the tower I was seeing; hatch, cables, antenna, etc. Great choice for hog hunting.
1 draw back is the mounting. mounts to the tube of a scope but raises it up above it quite a big making it a big profile. It does have W&E adjustments built into the mount though. You can always attach it straight to a rail with rings as well.

Go with the sub zero model, its worth it! Really are great products.

I’ve never used a laser designator like that... looks interesting, I would love to try one out.

For night shooting I just use my Olight M3X (XM-L LED) weapon mounted light for distance target shooting at night. I can get usable light to about 300 yards.
