Lowest Mount/Ring for Vortex Strikefire?

I posted this is the rifle section (because it gets more traffic) - but didn't get much response... can anyone help?

Currently I use Vortex SPARC on an ARMS #31 QD mount... I love how low it sits - but I'm thinking of using a Strikefire on the AK (for a while) and mount the Spark on shotgun...

Question is... what is the lowest quick detach ring to use with Strikefire?... I'm looking at ARMS 22M68 - I can't find anything lower... this is for AK, need LOW (typical AR mount is not a consideration).

Any suggestions?

I use TWS rail and currently have a Spark mounted on an ARMS #31 (puts the center of optic about 3/4" off the rail... that's as low as possible (to my knowledge)...

I'm planning to replace the spark with a Strikefire (for a while)... and wanted to try and get as low.

After researching, I dont think there is any way to get that low with the Strikefire (since it uses 30mm ring instead of mount like Aimpoint Micro and Spark)...

I'm picking up a LaRue LT152 (RAS II) from another CalGunner tomorrow... that's 27mm higher than rail (a little over an inch)... ARMS has one too (22M68) that sits at same height... and Burris XTR low ring is about 3mm shorter (but still higher than I want)...

It has to be quick detach which takes the lower rings out of consideration (there are non QD that are lower)...

the bottom line is, I dont think there's a lower option than Spark with ARMS #31... so I'll probably end up going back to that later... and use the Strikefire for a something else (shotgun or replace Burris XTS 135 on AR, or ???).

The strikefire can be bought with their low mount ring, it not a quick release but the hight might work for you, it puts scope center at .83" (21mm) from base.

Warne makes a QD that is .83. I don't know how you'll get to .75 with a 30mm tube.

Interestingly, I spoke with Vortex yesterday to request the low mount (purchase comes with high mount)... as is typical with their excellent customer service, they said just send it in with a note and they will send the low mount...

However, as you mentioned, its not QD so really doesn't solve the problem - but is an option.

Warne makes a QD that is .83. I don't know how you'll get to .75 with a 30mm tube.

.75 to center of optic... granted, that only leaves 4-5mm height for the ring/mount - which probably doesnt exist.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Warne QD - I'll definitely look into that (wish I had known before committing to the LaRue Ras II, which I know will be too high)
