What is the best red dot sight for under $100 for ar15? Right now I'm leaning towards an open red dot sight instead of a tube design. I'm stuck between a Sightmark Ultrashot vs Truglo Trubrite open red dot. Other opinions are welcome! Good tube red dot sights are welcome also..

The answers is "non" go up on your budget ($200) and get "strike fire vortex".Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

there you go..
I don't like tube RDS... but all under $100 are crap. You got no choice if $100 is your upper limit.Comment

Is it normal for the reticles or reflex sights to be blurry when used indoors at closed distances and dim lighting? (less than 15yrds)Comment
-
Err no. They should look the same at any distance. If you look down the sight at 100 or 50 yards is the dot clear? And then if you focus at 10 yards it goes blurry?
Sorry, this might be your eyes. The sight is doing nothing to compensate for our focus distance....

Tru Glo has a reflex sight that goes for about $99 at the most. Ive seen them as low as $60. I use the one without the shroud and love it. It's simple accurate and holds zero. However, I did drop my rifle one time and the darn glass cracked. Oh well.. I just bough another one. You get what you pay for... .sigpicComment

+1 for Vortex Strikefire
I just bought one, but can't get a day off to zero it. For now, it just looks pretty on my PTR
