Magnifier question

I want to put a magnifier behind my Eotech EXPS3 on my Colt M4. I want to keep my magpul BUIS on the rail. Can anyone recommend a quality magnifier that will allow me to keep the BUIS and wont break the bank? I'm also planning on using the American Defense swing to side mount. Thanks in advance.

Ya I liked they're magnifiers but they are out of stock and I still don't know if it will work with mbus.

I would love too but I already broke the bank with the exps3. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". But I'm hoping I can find a decent magnifier for under 300 bucks. Just can't afford a 6-700 dollar eotech or aimpoint magnifier at the moment.

The 6x is also in stock. The only one out of stock is the 3x LER version. Vortex also makes a magnifier that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I can recommend the 3X LER as it's proven durable enough for competition or carbine class. My Lucid 2-5x didn't hold up to the same, even though I enjoyed the extra magnification.

Since you're gonna need the taller AD swing mount to match your EXPS3, pretty much all the 3x magnifiers that will fit in the mount will clear your MBUS. Worst case scenario, you'll have to trim a little material off the bottom of the rubber housing of the magnifier.

Personally, if I were in your position I'd wait for the PA Long Eye Relief models to come back in stock.

I would go with the Vortex VMX3. About a year ago Mark did a side by side comparison with the G23, the Burris Tripler, and the VMX3. The VMX3 by far had the widest FOV and was just as bright as the G23. It also has an adjustable eyepiece. Vortex made this one right!

I tried saving money on a magnifier, the cheaper ones are fine at 100 yds. There is a reason the Eotech magnifiers are more money, they are worth it. I shoot 3gun with targets at 300+ yards and there is no way you can do that with cheap glass. Save your money and buy the Eotech. Be happy.

aimpoint magnifier... the eotech one is made in china and has inferior glass. Look into it if you don't believe me. personally, I dumped that whole type of set up in favor of ACOGs but to each his own.
