Air gun scope

My Gamo Silent stalker IGT is in the post office. I bought it to practice with on days I can not get to the range to shoot my big gun. It comes with a scope but I'm sure one of my other scopes i have from my hunting rifles that received an upgrade would be better than whatever is supplied with it. Would a centerfire rifle scope hold up to the forces acting on a scope from a pellet rifle. Its not the spring and piston mechanism. It has an internal gas cylynder that is charged when cocking the rifle. But for all i know the Gamo scope may work well enough.

although it does not have a coil spring, your rifle uses the same basic design by using a sealed gas piston instead of a traditional coil spring

check out your scope to see how it holds up, it could fulfill your needs

I have an rws 48 and use bushnell elite on it and it holds up to spring air fine

The included scope had good reviews. They must have been written by the owners nieces and nephews. The thing would not focus at 10 yards even though the infinity, Is that what you call it, would be crisp. So the tgt is fuzzy and your backdrop is nice and clear. After mounting the scope with locktite on the base and rings I proceeded to puch holes all over the 100 yd tgt at 10 yards. I mounted an old simmons that originally came on a win model 70 combo package back in the 90's.Didn't have a chance to shoot it after I put the simmons on it. if it doesn't tear that up I have a Bushnell elite also that I might try out. I'm not looking for any long range accyracy out of the scope. I just want to practice my breath control and cheekweld when i cant get to the range. Plus the cheapness of a tin of pellets helps out the pocketbook too.
